ng includes orientation and complete information about the course. Orient
ation lasts 13/4 hours. Attending an orientation session is required prior
to taking this course. Bring friends. \n\nLOCATION: SPE Dive
School\, LLC 4600 N. Park Ave. Suite 111\, Chevy Chase\, Maryland (near
\n Friendship Heights Metro Redline). Public parking is available at C
ourtyard by Marriott. We highly recommend printing a map from our “dire
ctions” page of www.SCUBAedu.com\, to bring along on your first visit.\n
CLASS HOURS\nAND DAYS: Classes will meet on Saturday\, June 30th and Sunda
y\, July 1st\, 2012 from 9 AM to approximately 9pm on each day.\n\nPRE-REQ
UISITE: Minimum age is 12\, basic swimming ability and good health are req
uired.\n\nREGISTRATION: Is Required. You may reserve your space by maki
ng a $295 payment per person*\, \n whic
h will be applied towards your course training fee. You may register onlin
e. \n Class size is limited and weekend
courses usually fill up quickly.\nREQUIRED: \nEQUIPMENT: All necessary e
quipment will be supplied for the course\, except for personal gear (mask\
, snorkel\, fins\, fin booties and weight belts)\, manual & DVD. However\
, do not purchase anything until you have attended an orientation session.
All personal gear must be SCUBA-rated and meet the approval of your inst
ructor. A very large selection of all skin diving/ SCUBA gear is availab
le for purchase at discount prices\, at SPE Dive School. This service is
ONLY available to SPE students and their family members. For your conveni
ence\, the 1st three hours of every course are dedicated to fitting/educat
ing our students for the gear they need to purchase for the course\, as we
ll as for their future dives.\nENROLLMENT\nCOST: $295 per person. \n\nCER
TIFICATION: Students successfully completing all academics and water work
will be qualified to receive an international PADI\, SEI and/or CMAS Open
Water certification\, which does not expire and needs no renewal. This ce
rtification is valid worldwide for buying air\, renting dive gear and part
icipating in dive expeditions.\nCARIBBEAN\nDIVE TRIPS: A dive trip to Gran
d Cayman Island is offered monthly at the end of each course\, for those w
ho would like to complete their open water dives in the ultimate dive envi
ronment. \n Participants may leave DC o
n Friday and return as early as Sunday\, or stay as long as \n
they wish. Local quarry (seasonal) certification di
ves are also available by appointment.\nADVANCED\nCERTIFICATIONS: Are also
offered during all Cayman Island trips\, for already certified or beginne
