t visit.\nCLASS HOURS\nAND DAYS: Classes meet on Sat. April 17th \, Sun. A
pril 18th and Sat. April 24th \, 2010 from 9 AM on the first day\, 10AM on
the second and the third day to approximately 8 PM each day.\n\nPRE-REQUI
SITE: Minimum age is 12\, basic swimming ability required.\n\nPRE-REGISTRA
TION: Is Required. You may guarantee a space by making a deposit of $15
0 per person*. Your pre-registration fee will be applied towards your cou
rse fee. You may pre-register online. Class size is limited and weekend c
ourses tend to fill quickly.\nREQUIRED: \nEQUIPMENT: All necessary equipm
ent will be supplied for the course except for personal gear (mask\, snork
el\, fins\, fin booties\, weights and weight belt). However\, do not purc
hase anything until you have been through the orientation. All personal g
ear must be SCUBA rated and meet the approval of your instructor. A very
large selection of all skin diving/ SCUBA gear is available for purchase
at discount prices\, at SPE Dive School. This service is ONLY available t
o SPE students and their family members. For your convenience\, the 1st 3
hours of every course are dedicated to fitting our students for the gear
they need to purchase for the course as well as future dives.\nENROLLMENT\
nCOST: $295 per person\, due at the first class meeting. \n\nCERTIFICATIO
N: Students successfully completing all lectures and water work will be qu
alified to receive an international PADI\, SEI and/or CMAS Open Water Cert
ification\, which does not expire and needs no renewal. This certificatio
n is valid worldwide for buying air\, renting dive gear and participating
in group dive expeditions.\nCARIBBEAN\nDIVE TRIPS: A dive trip to Grand Ca
yman Island is offered monthly at the end of each course for those who wou
ld like to complete their open water dives in the ultimate dive environmen
t. Trips leave DC on Fridays\; you may return as early as Sunday or stay
as long as you wish.\nADVANCED\nCOURSES: Are also offered during all Cayma
