first visit.\n\nCLASS HOURS AND DAYS: Classes meet on Sat. Feb. 13th\, Sun
. Feb. 14th and Mon. Feb. 15th\, 2010 from 9 AM on the first day\, 10AM on
the second and the third day to approximately 8 PM each day.\n\nPRE-REQUI
SITE: Minimum age is 12\, basic swimming ability and good health required.
\n\nPRE-REGISTRATION: Is Required. You may guarantee a space by making a d
eposit of $295 per person*. Your pre-registration fee will be applied towa
rds your course fee. You may pre-register online. Class size is limited an
d weekend courses tend to fill quickly.\n\nREQUIRED EQUIPMENT: All necessa
ry equipment will be supplied for the course except for personal gear (mas
k\, snorkel\, fins\, fin booties\, weights and weight belt). However\, do
not purchase anything until you have been through the orientation. All per
sonal gear must be SCUBA rated and meet the approval of your instructor. A
very large selection of all skin diving/ SCUBA gear is available for purc
hase at discount prices\, at SPE Dive School. This service is ONLY availab
le to SPE students and their family members. For your convenience\, the 1s
t 3 hours of every course are dedicated to fitting our students for the ge
ar they need to purchase for the course as well as future dives.\n\nENROLL
MENT COST: $295 per person.\n\nCERTIFICATION: Students successfully comple
ting all lectures and water work will be qualified to receive an internati
onal PADI\, SEI and/or CMAS Open Water Certification\, which does not expi
re and needs no renewal. This certification is valid worldwide for buying
air\, renting dive gear and participating in group dive expeditions.\n\nCA
RIBBEAN DIVE TRIPS: A dive trip to Grand Cayman Island is offered monthly
at the end of each course for those who would like to complete their open
water dives in the ultimate dive environment. Trips leave DC on Fridays\;
you may return as early as Sunday or stay as long as you wish.\n\nADVANCED
COURSES: Are also offered during all Cayman Island trips for certified or
